Taking care of her was difficult but necessary as my heart wouldn't have it any other way.
When my mom passed, I was comforted in knowing that she received the best care I could possibly provide. But at what cost?
Caregivers suffer from hypertension, anxiety, depression and many other ailments secondary to their caregiving responsibilities. This garners yet another question, who cares for the caregivers?
I am reminded every day of the barriers that stand before caregivers and the struggles that they endure.

My mother and I journeyed together. We lived a life we couldn't have lived without her needing help and my holding her hand through it. It was beautiful, we bonded in ways that are inexplicable, we not only struggled against and fought a broken system but we also conquered some nearly impossible obstacles.

Our approach is to use the power of community to build a scaffold that will support caregivers in their endeavors.
Currently the average cost for an agency assigned caregiver is $50/hr with a four hour minimum.
ISCCO plans to reduce that cost to $20/hr for the consumer with a Two (2) hour minimum.

What is a Shared Care Community?
Persons that live within a 5 mile radius that are in need of "SHORT-TIME" care due to health care challenges.
Caregivers (CNA's)that live within the same 5 mile radius providing "Short-Time" Services and increasing quality of care for those living within a shared care community.
We are an Organization that Supports Short time Care at Home
What is Short-Time Care?
Short-Time care as defined by ISCCO in reference to services provided is 1-3 hours of Care at Home.
We Create "How-To" videos, programs, Certifications and resources for members of all communities
What kind of resources will ISCCO provide?
Iscco will provide "How-to" videos for all aspects of caregiving, CPR and other caregiving certifications. In addition, local health/home care resources will also be provided. We will help you navigate health services.
We aim to achieve leadership in "Wrap Around" Services
What are "Wrap Around" services?
Wrap Around service delivery is a team-based, collaborative approach to healthcare needs. A program that is flexible to family and individual persons. Delivering comprehensive care by having a number of organizations work together to provide a holistic support.

FAQs
Is My Donation Tax Deductible?
- As of 3/15/23 ISCCO is awaiting tax exempt status from the IRS. We are currently filed with the state of Hawaii. Your donation will be tax deductible retroactively when our Organization is approved.
- Do I have to wait to donate? No, your
donation is needed to build ISCCO, your contribution will be tax deductible when our tax exempt status is approved.
- Are my Services Tax Deductible? Yes, the normal value of your services are tax deductible
